Wynn Wise McCurdy, the Director

Wynn Wise McCurdy became the owner/director of the Academy of Ballet Arts in June, 1991. Ms. McCurdy, a native of Cobb County, holds her degree in the teaching of dance from Virginia Intermont College where she studied under Constance Hardinge. Ms. McCurdy has 20 years of teaching experience and has been running her own business since 1985. She has trained dancers that are now pursuing careers in dance.

Ms. McCurdy is also the artistic director of The Academy Dance Company. She has choreographed "Les Patineurs", "The Little Match Girl", and many others. Under Ms. McCurdy's direction, the company is involved in the community by providing performances for assisted living homes, hospitals, and many local arts events.

The students are enriched by Ms. McCurdy's love for dance and commitment to excellence. Ms. McCurdy performed with the Cobb/Marietta Ballet Company. She continues to expand her knowledge of dance through Pilates and teaching seminars. Ms. McCurdy is married and the mother of two children.
