Destinations like the Honduran Bay Islands, Bahamas, Belize, Florida Keys, Flower Gardens of Texas and of course, Cozumel, are well within your reach. These trips are very popular and usually sell out quickly, so sign up early.

Our training dives are scheduled throughout the year and are held in Destin and Vortex Springs, FL. These are primarily training dives although any certified diver who wants to blow bubbles is welcome. On our training dives in Florida we dive with Scuba Tech Dive Shop aboard the M/V SEA COBRA.

 

carnival funCajun Divers schedules dive trips to many exiting locations throughout the year. Dive vacations such as Cozumel, The Bay Islands of Honduras, The Bahamas, Belize, Costa Rica, The Texas Flower Gardens, Florida Keys and many other fun and exotic locations. Our dive vacations usually sellout so be sure to get your deposit in early.

We always have scheduled dive trips planned to the panhandle of Florida during the year. Most of our training dives are done at Vortex Springs and Destin Florida. Even though these are primarily training dives, we always have certified divers that come along just to get WET! When in Destin we dive with Scuba Tech on the M/V Sea Cobra.

** A few points to make note of ** 1/3 deposit is required upon sign up, and is refundable up to 45 days prior to departure. Final payment is due 30 days prior to departure on all foreign travel. On Florida and Flower Gardens trips final payment is due 15 days prior to departure.

Training / Courses

Entry Level Scuba Diver Course:   Cajun divers will teach you everything you need to be a responsible, self-reliant diver. The NAUI certification card is proof that you've receive the finest entry-level recreational diver training available. Respected around the world your NAUI C-Card gives you access to diving services reserved solely for adventurers with your unique training and qualifications.

 

Beginning Scuba Course Q & A

What is the length of the course?
Extended weekend course which starts on Wednesday and is finished Sunday. When you sign up for class you will recieve a NAIU textbook, workbook and videotape. As home study you are to watch the video, read the NAUI text book and answer all questions in the scuba workbook. The c
lass meets on Wednesday night and Friday night from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM - Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 PM.

Do I have to be a strong swimmer?
No. but you do have to be comfortable in the water. There is a minor swim evaluation at the beginning of the 1st pool session. With today's diving the sport is easy to learn and participation is easy.

Where will the courses be held?
The classroom portion of the course is held at Cajun Divers, The pool sessions are held at the Fontana Center on Kaliste Saloom. The pool is 75' x 50' and is indoors and heated.

What personal equipment will I need?
You must have a mask, fins, snorkel and booties. Cajun Divers has student packages starting at $150.00. The textbook and other classroom materials are part of the course fees.

When and where do I get this equipment?
In your first class, your instructor will explain all of the gear and will be able to assist you in picking the correct gear for you. Cajun Divers always has packages specifically put together for students taking the SCUBA course. All equipment is name brand and top quality.

Cajun Divers Advanced Course: Sample some of diving's most common specialties and expand your diving skills at the same time. Learn more about underwater navigation, night diving and deeper diving as core dives, plus several other interesting specialties.

Cajun Divers Rescue Course: A great course for all divers. The NAUI Rescue course teaches self-awareness and rescue skills: as well as techniques on buddy rescue. NAUI Nitrox Course: Enriched Air Nitrox is air that has more oxygen in it. A comprehensive course that will help you understand the benefits of its use. Completion of this course will allow you to use up to 40% oxygen to increase the safety of your recreational scuba diving.

Cajun Divers Divemaster Course: NAUI leadership the only way to lead. This course develops your diving leadership abilities by expanding your diving knowledge to a professional level and by training you to supervise diving activities and to assist instructors with pool activities as well as training divers.
