Facelift
(Rhytidectomy)
As people grow
older, the natural aging process, genetic influences, exposure
to the sun and other factors cause the skin to wrinkle and
sag. A procedure called rhytidectomy
or face-lift has been developed to correct those conditions
and give people the youthful appearance they desire.
This procedure
involves the tightening of facial and neck skin and muscles,
and the removal of excess skin. A facelift can be performed
at any time after signs of aging appear and should last 10
to 15 years.

Liposuction
Surgery
For
generations, people have used various techniques to improve
their physical appearance. Although diet, exercise and flattering
clothing styles help many look better, others remain dissatisfied
because of stubborn, unsightly bulges. In women, those fat
deposits occur most frequently from the waist down on hips,
buttocks and outer thighs ("saddle bags"). Fat deposits on
men tend to accumulate above the waist, on the abdomen and
sides of the waist ("love handles").
Liposuction
surgery involves the removal of fat cells from the body. It
is designed for those who have specific areas of localized
fat deposits who have unsuccessfully tried to eliminate them
through diet, exercise and weight loss.
While the procedure is not designed
to correct general obesity, any area where excess fat deposits
have accumulated can be treated. These include the chin, neck,
jowls, cheeks, arms, inner and outer thighs, buttocks, knees,
hips and abdomen. Men with gynecomastia (enlarged breasts)
can also benefit from this technique.

Breast
Augmentation
Throughout
the ages, physical beauty has been determined by the values
of each society. In our western culture during the late 1890's,
for example, the large breasted woman with the small waist
was the ideal. In the "flapper" era of the 1920's, women wanted
slim bodies and very small breasts. A breast augmentation
by which specially-designed implants are placed beneath the
breast or chest wall muscles make it possible for women to
achieve the current standard of beauty.

Cosmetic
Surgery of the Nose (Rhinoplasty)
The
nose is one of the most prominent features of a person's face.
Men and women who are dissatisfied with the shape or size
of their noses can improve their appearance through a procedure
called rhinoplasty. It's a surgical procedure in which deformities
of the nose are corrected by removing, rearranging or reshaping
bone or cartilage.
Typical
reasons for this surgery are to improve the angle, reduce
the size of the nose or remove a bump. The surgery can be
performed in conjunction with procedures designed to relieve
nasal obstructions.
Abdominoplasty
(Tummy Tuck)
A
protruding abdomen as a result of stretching of the skin and
accumulation of fat secondary to weight gain or pregnancy
is a condition that causes distress to thousands of people.
A procedure called abdominoplasty or "tummy tuck"
has been designed to remove the excess fatty tissue and skin.
During this procedure, tightening the abdominal wall improves
the waist silhouette and flattens the abdomen even more.
Gluteoplasty
With
the objective of correcting the lack of volume of the gluteal
region, a new procedure called gluteoplasty has been developed.
It consists of the placement of an implant under the gluteal
muscle thorugh one vertical incision located on the sacral
area. The result is reliable and permanent. Any women or men
who wish to enhance the gluteal area may be good candidates
for this surgery.
