Raul E. Lopez, M.D.

Specialties: Cataract, Contact Lens, Minor Surgery and General Ophthalmology

A graduate from Bob Jones University with a master’s in divinity, Dr. Lopez decided to go further and attend the University of Illinois College of Medicine where he met his lovely wife Ramieh. He completed his residency training for ophthalmology at Louisiana State University Medical Center where he specialized in cataract surgery, treating diseases of the eye and contact lens technology. Dr. Lopez uses a clear cornea no-stitch micro incision technique for cataract surgery, which includes intraocular lens implantation and the use of ultrasound technology. This is currently state-of-the-art for this procedure. With contact lens technology changing every day, Dr. Lopez stays abreast of the latest innovations in contact lenses in order to offer the most advanced contact lenses available on the market.
