As you may know, I have been in Savannah for the past
nine years. I spent my first two years working in
the Children's Hospital at Memorial Health University
Medical Center. There I provided care for the critically
ill children and initiated a high-risk clinic. Pediatricians
participating in the pediatric residency training
at Memorial Medical Center now staff the clinic. I
have supported this residency since "day one."

I have been located in Savannah for over 3 years.
I completed my training in pediatrics and adolescent
medicine at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
After graduation, I decided to stay here in Savannah
where I gained the experience and familiarized myself
with the children's health needs and the environmental
and social issues in Savannah and the surrounding
communities. Prior to that I spent about 2 years in
Houston, Texas where I worked in a study about prevention
of tuberculosis in children in the University of Texas
at Houston. I gained experience there and took my
board licensing exams. I also worked overseas in children's
health care where I gained experience and knowledge
that I may not have gained here.

I recently transferred from Atlanta after living there
for 13 years. I completed my undergraduate, medical
school, and pediatric residency all at Emory in Atlanta.
I started in private practice in Dunwoody, Georgia
after taking 2 months off to have my baby. I thoroughly
enjoyed my private practice experience and sought
to find a similar practice environment when we moved
to Savannah. I was fortunate to find Georgia Pediatrics. |
