Storm
Panels:
1. Our storm panels exceed all Broward, Dade and Palm Beach County
Building Codes.
2. We have full panels and half panels. The panels overlap when
installed. The full panel will cover a width of 12" and the
half panel will cover a width of 6".
3. The panels are corrugated and will store approximately 7 panels
to 1" thick.
4. We will make the panels in any length you need. The wind load
on that particular opening determines the allowed span(length) of
a panel.
5. The panels have two keyholes in the end to except the mounting
bolts.
Aluminum
Panels or Steel Panels?
1. .050 Aluminum panels with edge wings provide longer spans with
no mid fastners.
2. The aluminum panels are lightweight and will not rust. Our 20
gauge steel panels are galvanized but will rust where the mounting
holes are drilled and at the ends of the panel where the panel has
been cut.
Wall
and Ceiling Header:
1. The "h" wall header and "u" ceiling are the
preferred top track for panels; they are the only top tracks you
can use without a ladder to install your panels.
Our
patented storm track systems will give you the most attractive shutter
systems in the world.
Finish
track
"Storm Track" #ST315
this track, referred to as the "screwless face track,"
is recommended for homes close to the ocean and other saltwater
environments. The Tapcon anchors are not exposed to the elements,
this helps to prevent corrosion. This track is desirable when only
a 5/8" build out is required.
Recess
track
"Storm Track" #ST325
this track is used on new homes under construction and is installed
prior to stucco or finish wall material. After final installation,
this track cannot be seen. All that is exposed is the vinyl cover,
which can be painted to match the exterior color of your home.
When installing this track, we recommend that you spray WD40 on
the vinyl cover and require the stucco contractor to wipe off any
stucco that is spilled on the cover, while the stucco is still wet.
An access hole is required in the face of the track.
Build
Out Tract
"Storm Track" # ST410, ST420, ST430
These attractive one-piece, build out tracks, come in 1 in., 2 in.
and 3 in. build outs. These tracks are designed to be used when
you need to hold the hurricane panels away from the glass that it
is protecting. This keeps the panel the required distance from the
glass to prevent the deflection of the panel from breaking the glass.
These tracks can also be used to build out hurricane panels to pass
objects that are protruding from the wall. This will prevent you
from drilling holes in your decorative stucco, banding details,
designer shutters and other ornamental architectural elements.

Vinyl
Covers
"Storm Track" #ST350
This vinyl cover fits all "Storm Track" products. The
vinyl covers prevent stucco, insects and paint from entering the
attachment slot in the track.
