Plastic
Surgery Center of South Florida opened in 1985 following extensive
design by a noted hospital architect. This fully equipped, state
of the art facility was designed to provide the utmost in comfort
and safety for the cosmetic surgery patient. Our surgical suite
and recovery area possess the latest in anesthesia and monitoring
equipment. Our director of anesthesia services is a fully trained
physician anesthesiologist with over 17 years experience in the
field of plastic surgery.
Our reception staff is well versed in all the administrative aspects of cosmetic surgery. From a simple phone call reminding a patient of an upcoming appointment, to arranging lodging for the families of our international patients, these courteous individuals handle all the details associated with a visit to our center. The staff involved in patient care has over 25 years combined experience in the field of plastic surgery. These caring professionals are totally committed to the well being and satisfaction of all our patients. Over the years thousands of local, national and international patients have undergone cosmetic surgery at the Plastic Surgery Center of South Florida. Dr. Garcia is a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic surgery. In 1985 he founded "Plastic Surgery Center of South Florida," devoted solely to cosmetic surgery. Since that time he has performed over 8,000 plastic surgery procedures. The doctor is very active academically and for many years has received the physicians recognition award of the American Medical Association for continuing medical education. He is a voluntary assistant clinical professor of plastic surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine, an associate clinical professor in plastic surgery at Nova Southeastern
University and has served as visiting professor of plastic surgery at
University Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. His work has been
published in nationally and internationally recognized plastic surgery
journals and he has lectured extensively on plastic surgery nationally
and abroad. Dr. Garcia has served as president of the Greater Miami Society
of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and is an active member of the
American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, American Society
for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Lipoplasty Society of North America and
numerous other national and international plastic surgery societies. He
is the chief of plastic surgery at Palmetto General Hospital.Our location. . .
Plastic Surgery Center of South Florida is located on the lobby floor of the Palmetto Medical Plaza. There is convenient access to the center by exiting the Palmetto Expressway (826) at N.W. 122nd Street, one exit south of 1-75. The Palmetto Medical Plaza is adjacent to Palmetto General Hospital,
and is visible from the Palmetto Expressway. Once you arrive on campus,
covered parking is available in the parking garage which connects with
our building through an enclosed air-conditioned medical mall, (see map).
Valet parking is available in the fountain courtyard directly behind our
building.
