The Foot & Ankle Institute was created in 1997 with the idea of creating a center to examine, diagnose, and treat every kind of foot and ankle disorder with the highest level of quality. It started with a well-trained foot and ankle physician who could not only medically treat all disorders of the foot and ankle but also be a highly trained foot and ankle surgeon. This surgeon would be able to manage simple surgeries of the foot and ankle along with complex reconstructive and trauma surgeries.

We envisioned a facility where a patient could have access not only to the physician but also other secondary needs that are common in treating foot and ankle disorders.

The Foot & Ankle Institute was assembled with a center that has a highly trained foot and ankle surgeon, in-house physical therapy, an orthotics and prosthetics lab, and an X-ray department, all at the patients' disposal and housed in the same building (Lumberton office only).
