Surveillance is an investigative
technique that involves covert observation to observe and document
the physical activities of an individual's lifestyle. Surveillance
is usually requested by a client based on something specific; such
as a physicians report, red flags, an anonymous tip, etc. to determine
whether a claimant is really injured or just falsifying his claim.
Our surveillance teams conduct surveillance almost everyday and
have years of experience in different surveillance situations.
Sometimes in negotiations,
in an attempt to settle an insurance claim, the demand is excessive
or unrealistic. Surveillance can be conducted to obtain video taped
results of claimants engaging in activities inconsistent with their
claimed injury. This can greatly reduce the demand and help speed
up the settlement process.
