bullet2The Style "Kiss Me ... Kiss Me Again" Copyright October 25, 1993 (PAu 1-812-097). This was The Style's first complete packaged work. Self financed and self promoted as the first single to record companies, the "Kiss Me . . . Kiss Me Again" single saw on October 24, 1993, our first recording contract offer from Statue Records, 2810 McBain St., Redondo Beach, CA. Our first offer - $40,000 and a 14% royalty for this one single. The Style relocated to Los Angeles, CA to further pursue our career and hopefully take a foothold in the music industry. The "Kiss Me . . . Kiss Me Again" single received airplay in Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Alton, IL. Most notably D.J. Mike Slak interviewed the group on the radio station WLCA, and in their "make it, or break it" listener poll "Kiss Me . . . Kiss Me Again" received a 92% audience approval.

bullet2Style-City Music in 1993 was an 8-track reel to reel production studio when The Style originally recorded "Kiss Me . . . Kiss Me Again". All tracks were written, arranged, produced, performed, recorded, and mixed by Gerry Q' on the first single. This is what sparked the comparisons to Prince.

bullet2Style-City Music in 1995 saw a $65,000 upgrade of the studio to a 16-track production studio. Both the "Inside Out" and the newest album "In a Manner of Speaking" were recorded on 16-track reel. Style-City Music also began operating out of a commercial location in Akron, OH. The Style then turned its attention towards producing other local acts, Hip Hop, R&B groups, Gospel, Rock, and of course the studios main purpose was to record The Style's own projects. Style-City Music also opened its doors as a professional sound reinforcement company 6 months later with an additional $15,000 investment into PA equipment, and gained listings in two music industry directories - Mix Plus, and The Recording Industry Sourcebook.

bullet2The Style "Inside Out" Copyright February 2, 1996 (SRu 341-120). This was The Style's sophomore attempt to break into the music industry: self financing and self promoting a full length album, while showing off the groups vocal, writing, and musical ability once again to the record labels. On April 8, 1996 only 52 days after mailing out the demo tape, Ethan Hurt of Global Media, 110, E. 59th St., New York, NY called and made an offer of $150,000.

bullet2The Style "I'm Your Toy" was the first single marketed from the Inside Out album. Picked up by Allen Newton of Power Play Promotions, Whitney, TX on June 17, 1996, this was song #3 on the Narciscus Records compilation CD (VP-064996/VP-080995). Based on reviews and 150 A/C POP reporting stations playlists, by January 1997 "I'm Your Toy" was listed at #24 in Record Row Review's Independent A/C Pop list (Poughkeepsie, NY).

bullet2The Style "Romeo" from the "Inside Out" album was also released by Power Play Promotions on compilation CD VP-080995, and received airplay on college stations across the US.

bullet2The Style "Boy Meets Girl" the opening song on the "Inside Out" album, was released by Jojo Mitchell of Amyhest Group, 273 Chippewa Drive, Columbia, SC in September, 1996, Boy Meets Girl appeared as song #5 on the compilation ANTI-CD-0030, and still receives European airplay.

bullet2The Style "Inside Out" album was aired by Cliff Ayers of Emerald Records. Nashville, TN on their own Record Row Review and received a 98% listener approval. This was one of the highest approval ratings they had seen, so Entertainer Indi-Assoication nominated The Style at their award show as group of the year 1996.

bullet2The Style "In a Manner of Speaking"
is our latest album, and as they say "the third time's the charm." We look forward to working with a label who sees this group has what it takes to dominate the music industry well into the year 2000 and beyond.

bullet2The Style "In a Manner of Speaking" - Videos With various TV appearances in St. Louis, and hosting our own local variety music hour in Akron, OH, television and video became a valuable media for better reaching an audience. Because a large part of The Style's appeal in a live show is visual, we once again self financed and self directed videos for the first three songs on the "In a Manner of Speaking" album in 1998.

bullet2 Gerry-Q' - Songwriter, lyricist, producer, arranger, composer, multi-instrumental musician, recording engineer, versatile vocalist with no set limitations, is the most accurate description of Gerry Q'. Gerry Q' is the younger of the two brothers, and perhaps your best choice for an artist, songwriter, singer who will undoubtedly be inducted one day into the Rock & Roll hall of fame as one of the greatest songwriters of all time.

bullet2Ace - Guitarist, composer, co-producer, multi-instrumentalist engineer, is the older of the two brothers. Ace is most accurately described as "the sum total of all the great guitar legends." A versatile guitar payer who studies all musical styles, jazz, rock, classical, Reggae, and conforms them to a pop format. Ace will one day be ranked among names like Jimi Hendrix for his innovative guitar technique.

bullet2The Future of The Style Is You We will continue to work hard and strive to be the best at what we do. We will continue to write good music each year, and grow as recording and performing artists. We still own all rights to the enclosed materials. Now all we need is you ... now is the time for the new style.
